Web Content Manager. Public Relations, Marketing and Communications Admin in Cazenovia, NY

The Web Content Manager will work as an integral member of Cazenovia College's Communications and
marketing team in maintaining the College website. This position collaborates with Web Developer, as
well as members of the Communications and ICT departments, in managing and designing web pages,
planning and creating strategic web content, and maintaining existing content.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years experience in website
maintenance, design and development including content management.
* Experience managing and
maintaining a web content management system.
DNN and Drupal are preferred.
* Experience in
designing and developing content for a large website with multiple departments and sections and
diverse content types.
* Strong understanding of HTML and CSS; experience with JavaScript,
ASP.NET, and PHP.
* Experience in using standard web editing and graphic design tools such as
the Adobe Creative Suite and multimedia production tools.
* Excellent writing and editing
skills; strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
* A keen eye for compelling visual
design; demonstrated ability to apply creative design principles in producing engaging web content.
* Understanding of social media options (social networks, blogs, wikis, broadcast email)
including knowledge of their strengths and possibilities.
* Knowledge of current and emerging
web and online communication trends.
* Ability to independently research and learn new software,
new coding techniques and new technologies.
* Proven success in managing multiple projects,
meeting deadlines, adapting quickly to changing priorities, and attention to detail and accuracy.
* Demonstrated ability to work both cooperatively and independently in a team-based work
setting. Experience working in a communications, public relations, and/or marketing environment is a
plus.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the design, development and implementation of
website content.
* Work with departments and offices to assess requirements for new web content
and to develop content and designs that advance clients' communications objectives and are
consistent with design standards.
* Manage and update website design, navigation and media.
Oversee management and usage of media assets including images, video, audio, and downloadable files.
* Provide guidance to departments for creation and maintenance of content. Assist with
configuration and management of the campus web content management system and provide support to
department web editors in use of the CMS.
* Provide support for the production of targeted
college communications with multimedia components, including parents email newsletter and alumni and
admissions broadcast emails.
* Keep current with the latest trends in web development and
design, both within and outside of the higher education space.
This position requires strong
organizational, communications, problem-solving skills and interaction with web editors. Must
demonstrate ability to drive projects, including managing deadlines and deliverables from various
departments, and possess the knowledge of web standards and best practices in user
experience.
